You are never too young or too old to take little steps on the trail. People of all ages including preschoolers hike the Ala Kahakai National Historic Trail. As they follow the footsteps and pathways of their kupuna (elders), their fresh eyes and vivid curosity helps them discover the wonders of nature as they travel outside in the living classroom of the world.

Punana Leo o Waimea and Alo Kehau o Ka Aina Mauna, Hawaiian Medium schools in Waimea, will be having a FREE community event Ho`ola in Waimea near Kahilu Theatre this Saturday March 29, 2014 from 9am to 4pm.

We will be sharing about the trail with the keiki and their ohana. So bring a friend and visit us. Be part of our 2014 mural by stepping on the trail…and see what happens.
