Kaloko Road Closure tommorrow at Kaloko-Honokohau NHP

Road and picnic area closure at Kaloko- Honokōhau National Historical Park. Annual coconut tree trimming will require the closure of the Kaloko Fishpond gravel road (Ala Nui Kaloko), off Highway 19 at mile marker 96.5, and access to Kaloko Fishpond Picnic Area on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. To ensure visitor’s’ safety from falling coconuts and fronds during the tree trimming work, this area of the park will be closed until the work is completed.
